Jason Marthaler, vice president, leads trading and risk management for the oilseed product line at CHS. He oversees a team focused on origination, marketing and export execution for soy, canola and sunflowers, as well as domestic crush and byproduct sales.

Before transitioning into his current role in 2023, Marthaler served as vice president of commodity risk management and supply chain for the ag retail organization at CHS. Over two decades at CHS, he has held a variety of roles across grain and agronomy, gaining broad experience across the company's agriculture business. His industry expertise is complemented by his personal background, having grown up on a grain farm in central Minnesota. 

Marthaler earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota in 2017. He currently serves on the board of TEMCO LLC, a grain export joint venture between CHS and Cargill.
