
Christina Connelly joined the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) as the International Trade Supervisor in 2025. Previously she spent 10+ years as the Trade Commissioner for AgriFood at the Consulate General of Canada in Minneapolis, facilitating agricultural trade and investment between Canada and the US-Upper Midwest. Christina also worked at MDA from 2008-2014, managing biofuels policies and international marketing projects. In addition, she has served in roles with the Minnesota Legislative Auditor's Office and the U.S. Government Accountability Office in Washington, DC. Christina holds a BA from St. Olaf College, an MPP from the Humphrey School of Public Policy, and a Graduate Certificate in International Trade Policy from the George Washington University. She lives in St. Paul, MN with her husband, three children, and a Bernadoodle named Maple.
