Jeff Davidman is the Vice President- State and Local Government Affairs at Delta Air Lines and has represented the airline for over 20 years. In this position, Jeff oversees Delta’s State and Local Government Affairs team that represents the airline before state and local units of government across the country.
During Jeff’s tenure at Delta, he has assisted with securing the necessary government support for the successful merger of Northwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines. He led Delta’s state and local government affairs efforts in securing State support and resources from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania which helped enable Delta to be the first airline in the world to purchase an oil refinery and to produce its own jet fuel. Jeff has also successfully led the efforts to pass legislation in multiple states that has provided more scheduling flexibility for Delta employees as well as led the efforts to provide tax fairness to all airlines in the States of Georgia and Florida.
Most recently, Jeff has led Delta’s State and Local efforts to secure policy to promote the production and use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in Delta’s hub states in an effort to help Delta meet its 2050 goal of Net-Zero carbon emissions. This includes the successful passage of the nation leading SAF tax credit legislation in Minnesota.
Prior to his tenure at Delta, Jeff was an associate at the Minneapolis Law Firm Best and Flanagan, LLP. Before working at Best & Flanagan, Jeff was a Senior Policy Advisor in the Minnesota Governor’s office working in the areas of transportation, public safety, and education and on a variety of other issues.
Jeff is a graduate of Miami University (Oxford, OH) and William Mitchell College of Law (St. Paul, MN). He was named a “40 Under 40” by the Minneapolis Business Journal in 2013. Jeff currently serves on Board of Directors for the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement North, and Minnesota Sports and Events.
