Jason Garms is the Agricultural Program Liaison for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR). As the Agricultural Program Liaison, Jason manages DNR agricultural policy development and program alignment, while also engaging the agricultural community and strengthening conservation partnerships. Prior to this position Jason served as the DNR State Prairie Biologist, guiding the department’s grassland conservation policies. Prior to working with the DNR, Jason held positions with the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service and The Nature Conservancy. Jason holds a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences from South Dakota State University. Jason also continues to farm part-time, operating his 4th generation corn and soybean farm in southwest Minnesota.
